When you started your business, writing wasn’t exactly at the forefront of what you pictured your team doing. But the digital marketing scene is growing larger every day, and the internet’s power over commerce is impossible to ignore. You need web copy. You need a newsletter. Blog posts. Cutting-edge SEO. You could handle this in-house, but that’s a lot of extra work you may not have the time or resources for. So what’s your best option? For many companies, the answer is to outsource their copy needs. However, there are a lot of options to sift through.

One of the more recent up-and-coming writing services is Panda Copy, a copywriting service than offers unlimited writing requests and revisions. It’s served over 500 customers since launching in 2020, and it’s also got some of the lowest prices out there. Still, it’s always good to know your options before you make a decision on which service works best for you. Here are 5 Panda Copy alternatives to consider.

What’s Panda Copy?

Is Panda Copy legit? Having looked at their website and their reviews, we can confidently say it is. The service allows you to submit an unlimited number of projects with a 1-3 day turnaround, depending on the complexity of the project. They don’t use AI to write their copy but do appear to outsource their writers from overseas.

Pricing

Plan costs are pretty low with Panda Copy. Pricing ranges from $949 with 1000 words a day to $499 with 400 words a day on their cheapest monthly plan. Their most popular plan is the “premium” option at $749. This provides all the standard plan features (unlimited requests and revisions, 1-3 day turnaround) plus 750 words a day, stock image selection, Surferseo SEO/Fraser support, and 2 subaccounts. In addition, you have the option to create a custom plan.

Panda Copy’s pricing on their monthly plan is fairly straightforward, but their pay-per-project costs are a little more confusing. If you do go that route, the cost goes way up. It can go from $0.10 a word for 0-1000 words to $0.75 a word for 0-4,000 words (that’s $300 for a 400-word article and $3000 for a 4,000-word article).

Panda Copy Alternatives

Now that you have a good idea of what Panda Copy offers let’s see what other alternatives are out there.

Content Cucumber

At first blush, Content Cucumber and Panda Copy appear to be similar services—both offer unlimited requests and revisions, offer monthly plans, and provide all kinds of web copy from an experienced and talented team of writers. Content Cucumber is the optimal choice for small to mid-sized businesses that want personalized content from top US-based writers. You’ll be matched with a dedicated writer and project manager to revise, edit, and optimize your content to perfection. In addition, our keyword research, auto-posting, and blog topic-generation add-ons can make the writing process even more seamless. The difference between Content Cucumber and Panda Copy comes down to price and quality. Content Cucumber has in-house US-based writers, but is more expensive. While Panda Copy is cheaper but uses freelance and overseas writers.

Crowd Content

If you need an article fast, Crowd Content is the way to go — they can handle one-off requests in under 24 hours. You won’t get the same devotion as you might with other plan-based services, but this is still a great pick if you need copy fast or need a lot of content for cheap. The cost is roughly $0.12 per word, depending on the type of request and the quality of writing you want.

FATJOE

FATJOE’s been in the digital marketing game since 2012, and they know it well. Not only can FATJOE handle content creation, but they also do link building, video creation, and other marketing services. FATJOE is a great Panda Copy alternative if you’re looking for all of your marketing done in the same place. You can choose from two different options on blogs: basic ($0.50) or pro ($0.10). Upgrading to pro will give you more options, such as royalty-free images, higher-rated writers, meta description, and Surferseo optimization.

Gannet.io

Gannet is another plan-based copywriting service. The big difference with Gannet is that they bill hourly rather than by project or word. The cheapest plan is $1,195 a month and can go up to $1,995 if you splurge on the more expensive one.

Copy Masters

Copy Masters is targeted towards mid-sized businesses aiming to scale their business. Its copywriters can create anything from e-books to audio transcriptions to web copy. Similar to Gannet.io, they have a 1-day turnaround included in both their plans, which is always a plus! Copy Masters has a unique pricing structure in that there are only two plans: a monthly plan for $449 a month or a yearly plan for $4499. While you do get a dedicated account manager, a dedicated writer isn’t mentioned in their plan. Copy Masters is a cheaper option but you’ll likely have a different writer on each project, which may harm consistency in voice, brand, and quality.

Which Should I Choose?

Whatever you go with, our advice is to take a good look at all the alternatives before setting your heart on one. Pandacopy’s just one of many similar services out there! We recommend you look at Pandacopy reviews and look at the website in-depth to see if it’s right for you. We hope that this list has shown that whether a writing company is good or not is more dependent on your needs as a client. If you’re looking for affordability, a more thorough, expensive plan might not work for you. But to a business with a larger budget, the extra features are worth paying for. You may also want to consider promoting the content you get with other marketing strategies, like link building or paid ads.

A great way to test the merits of any writing service is to reach out to them directly. Most of the companies in our list offer demos, samples, or trial periods. It’s also helpful if you can see existing examples of a company’s writing on their website; FATJOE and Gannet both have portfolios up for browsing. Also, remember to check the website’s blog. You can browse Content Cucumber’s blog to get an idea of the caliber of writing we offer. If you like what you see, you can always book a demo with us today or request a sample.

Thumbs up
