Halloween is going to look a little different this year. Even for those of us who (unfortunately) no longer go trick or treating.

With most everyone working from home, your only chance to show your co-workers your amazing costume is going to be over the daily Zoom meeting. However, not all costumes transition well from in-person to Zoom. The key is finding a costume that is recognizable from the shoulders and up.

Here are 6 fun and simple DIY Halloween costumes that are perfect for Zoom!

1. Anyone from The Office

The Office is such a popular show, making many of the characters very recognizable, and with all the characters wearing business casual clothes you probably already have everything you need! A simple button-down shirt and tie can turn you into either Jim or Dwight, depending on how you part your hair. Dress up as Pam by simply clipping your hair back and wearing a button-down shirt with a cardigan!

2. Baby Yoda

Baby Yoda is instantly recognizable and easy to DIY. All you need is a brown bathrobe, jacket, or even a scarf, a headband, and some green construction paper. To make the iconic Baby Yoda ears cut out triangles from the construction paper and tape them to your headband, tada! The perfect easy Halloween costume.

3. Sports Commentator

This costume utilizes Zoom’s background feature. All you need to do is dress in a suit and tie, and wear over the ear headphones, with or without a microphone attached, whatever you already have is fine. Find an image of your favorite sports team or stadium and throw it up as your Zoom background! For a little extra fun, talk like a sports commentator for a few minutes during your meeting!

4. Waldo From Where’s Waldo

Waldo From Where’s Waldo is an iconic character that is so easy to recreate in costume form. You just need a red beanie and a red and white striped shirt! That’s it! If you feel like overachieving you can find a pair of glasses to wear, but even without them, you’ll still look just like Waldo!

5. Rosie the Riveter

Rosie the Riveter is a female icon, but anyone can recreate her iconic look! All you need is a blue shirt, a red bandana, and to know that you can do it!

6. Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish is a musical powerhouse and her classic green hair is so simple to recreate. All you need is some temporary green hair coloring. Simply apply it to your roots going down about a few inches and you’re done! If you want to do a little more you can look up some of her iconic outfits and see if you can DIY them!
